Weldon Engineers builds cooling towers and supplies the water treatment that keeps them working. We are deliberately a manufacturing and service business rather than a trading one, because the problems our clients bring us are rarely solved by a catalogue.

Nearly three decades in cooling tower technology
Weldon Engineers was founded by Chandramohan Singh Negi, who came to the business after years of hands-on industry experience rather than from a sales background. That shows in how the company operates: selections are calculated, not guessed, and the answer to a client sometimes is that they need a smaller unit than they asked for.
The company specialises in FRP cooling towers, manufactured under the POLO brand, and in online water scale preventers. It provides complete project scope including design, manufacturing, quality control, erection, commissioning, maintenance and spare parts, with particular depth in cold storage and HVAC work.
Growth has come from repeat business and from approvals that are genuinely hard to obtain. Receiving PAN India approval from the Military Engineering Services was a turning point, because it placed the company on a list that few businesses of its size reach. The next target is accreditation from the Cooling Technology Institute, the international benchmark for thermal performance.

Quality control
Four tests every unit passes before despatch
Quality control is carried out at each stage of assembly rather than only at the end, because a fault found in the works costs a fraction of the same fault found on site.

Corrosion resistance test
Shell and hardware checked against the water chemistry the tower will actually see in service.

Leak proof test
Basin, panel joints and distribution pressure tested before the unit leaves the works.

Power consumption test
Fan and motor current verified against the design figure so running cost matches the offer.

Durability test
Structural fixings, fan deck and ladder loadings proven before despatch.

From the first calculation to the annual service
Because every stage is handled in house, responsibility for the finished installation never gets divided between suppliers.

Thermal sizing against your actual heat load, flow rate, range, approach and site wet bulb, issued with a general arrangement drawing.

Manufacture
Towers moulded and assembled under the POLO brand, with fill, distribution and mechanical equipment matched to the selection.

Erection and Commissioning
Our own crews erect, align, fill, run and hand over the tower, so responsibility for the finished installation stays in one place.

Maintenance and Spares
Annual maintenance contracts and a stocked spares list, covering towers of any make rather than only our own installations.
